What is your favorite part about research?

You can always learn something new, either from your peers or by reading papers.

What has been the scariest/most challenging part of research?

Working with bacteria. I don’t know how many stories I can tell about my experience with bacteria. SUPER “fun”.

When not in the lab, what are some of your other hobbies, interests, etc.?

Travelling, scuba diving, watching movies, and cooking.

What advice do you have for prospective undergraduate researchers?

Research means re-search so be optimistic and prepared for failures.
